Millions of people across Assam celebrated Bhogali Bihu with great enthusiasm, marking the harvest festival with traditional Meji bonfires, community feasts and cultural gatherings. Families and villages came together to light bonfires made of bamboo, hay and firewood, symbolizing gratitude for a successful harvest and the end of the agricultural year. The festival was also marked preparing traditional delicacies, exchanging greetings and strengthening social celebrations.
